0. Intro

Edmund Holmes is a Detroit native residing in Portland, OR. With over 15+ years of experience in the footwear industry, his lifelong love for design, art and sports show through the experimental way he continues to evolve his process.

Edmund is experienced in setting and leading creative strategy, maximizing team, Iterating on concepts intentionally but with an open mind, and always pushing process and future vision- no matter the brief.

Knowing when to use tools is important. Some project requires more of one tool than others, but a sweet spot is when they all compliment each other to make an efficient transition to the next stage of design, ultimately resulting in a more flushed design for the team to speed up the and obsess the other details.

2. Consumer Right - Nike Metcon Free 3 + Metcon 7

This projects was all about understanding the objective of being versatile in training. Many athletes have different objectives in their training, and this product needs to work for their activities. What they need is a shoe that functions for what they needs: flexible for and agility movements and stable for lifting and balance work.

3. Her Game - Jordan Heir Series

A statement to focus on game, future, and her impact. Women sports have been increasing for years, this is the first model from Jordan that is taking a new approach focused on the next generation of women ballers at a low price-point of $110. Jordan Brand in women’s basketball was starting at $0 to + $30 Million with this new model focused on her game.

4. Culture Matters - Jordan 4RM

Designing the 4RM was about community, authenticity and future. It was more than just a product it was an acknowledgement to communities connect through bikes (athletes, gamers, artist, musicians, cooks, etc. We can always have the same approach, but why not break the mold!
